About LITI
The Loyola Private Industrial Training Institute ( henceforth referred to as LITI ) was started in the name of Loyola Technical Institute in 1952 for the technical training State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT) for the children of textile mill workers who had migrated to Madurai from villages around it. It was a time of great urban migration as agricultural activities dwindled with successive years of lean monsoon. In fact, the Institute is located at a distance of 2 km from the largest and the oldest textile mill in Madurai. Since 1982, the Loyola Technical Institute has been approved to offer National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) Certificate courses in all four trades.

The motto of our institute is Excellence through Truth and Hardwork
To run the Technical Institute for imparting formal & in-formal Technical to any qualified person irrespective of Caste or Creed, with greater importance and preference to Rural Dalit youth, Tribals and women.
